Every engineering project in the built environment is a bespoke piece of design – a one-off.
Unlike product design or automotive design, you can’t take your next project for a test drive or try it on for size. It doesn’t exist until it does.
The idea of contributing to the design of unique structures, and then seeing them come to fruition, was the governing factor that led Abdelmoumen to pursue a career in engineering.
To Abdel’s thinking, a good structural engineer is one who works closely with the design team to establish an efficient structural system that reflects the architectural concept. He is fortunate to possess a great understanding and appreciation for architectural design.
With this skill, coupled with a strong interest in parametric and digital design, he endeavours to provide holistic structural solutions that meet the brief and enhance the built environment.
Outside of working hours, Abdelmoumen is an enthusiastic sportsman, enjoying many sporting activities including surfing, running, boxing, and football.
