James joined Price & Myers in 2006 and became an Associate in 2017. He has worked on an interesting range of projects from small refurbishments to large luxury hotel and spa developments, always aiming to design efficient, elegant structures. He enjoys projects that present unusual challenges, requiring creativity to produce bespoke solutions.
James is involved in the engineering recruitment process at Price & Myers. He is one of our IStructE Mentors and coordinates our in-house training for graduate engineers aiming to achieve chartership.
In 2011, James took a four-month sabbatical in Kenya, working with an architectural charity and the local communities to help upgrade public spaces in the Kibera slum in Nairobi.
He was awarded the IStructE's Young Structural Engineer of the Year 2012 - Runner Up for his work on the award-winning Brockholes Visitor Centre, the only floating building of its kind in the UK.
Since 2018 he has been a visiting lecturer and tutor at the University of Westminster for students studying Architecture and Environmental Design.
