Fisherman's Bridge, Lake District

A 14m span footbridge across over the Duddon in the Lake District National Park. The slender deck has the form of an elongated flattened inverted pyramid. The existing abutments were raised to support the new deck. The handrail is made up of steel rods that are cut to specific lengths to play a tune when they are struck by a stick running along them.

Completed 2008.
