Special Exhibitions Gallery, Manchester has won an RIBA North West Award.
Designed with Carmody Groarke for the Manchester’s Science and Industry Museum, the project has created new visitor areas by linking the Lower Goods Yard with the main museum and establishing a new entrance and flexible gallery space for touring exhibitions.
The scheme is among the six “exemplar architectural solutions” celebrated for their contribution “to the region, in providing sustainable, accessible places for all, important in the gradual evolution of a post-pandemic world.” - RIBA North West jury chair and shedkm director Hazel Rounding
