Sustainability win for Harris Academy

The UK’s first Passivhaus secondary school, and largest Passivhaus school, has won the Building Performance Award at the 2020 Building Awards.

Located in the southwest borough of Sutton, Harris Academy is a pioneering school that focuses on teaching sciences.

The Academy was designed by architects Architype, with environmental engineers BDP, and Price & Myers.

This award celebrates and recognises projects that have reached high level of sustainability and energy efficiency in their design.
