The refurbishment and extension of The Alice Hawthorn Inn in Yorkshire has celebrated a win at The Wood Awards last night in the category Commercial & Leisure. It was a lovely project to work on, with sustainability and community at his heart, and we are absolutely chuffed to see it recognised! The Wood Awards celebrate the excellence in architecture and product design in wood in the UK and the list of nominees was incredibly strong this year.
In the words of architectural journalist Ruth Slavid from the judging panel, this is “[…] an agricultural building with a level of sophistication never seen before.”
Congratulations to the wonderful team for this achievement.
