Our Practice

Seek to minimise significant environmental impacts of our activities through the progressive development of environmental management procedures as determined by our business needs.

Set targets for reducing energy use and related carbon emissions, water consumption and monitor and report our performance against these targets,

Work towards less use of office air-conditioning by understanding the office heating/cooling systems and adjusting settings which optimise comfort and energy use.

Maintain a green procurement strategy to ensure:
That the products we use at our offices i.e., stationery, cleaning products, food and beverages are, where possible, from environmentally responsible, local and fairly traded sources.
Where practical we buy electrical equipment with high energy efficiency ratings; 'A' rated, or better, electrical appliances; Energy Star rated computer equipment, including monitors, printers & copiers.

Recycle all our waste paper, plastic, cans, glass, batteries, toners and electronic equipment.

Provide cycle facilities where practical for staff and encourage staff to cycle by implementing the Government ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme.

Offices with canteen facilities provide lunch to our staff three days a week. This includes a vegetarian only menu on Mondays and at least 50% of menus are vegetarian on Wednesday & Fridays.

Review our environmental policy annually and amend as necessary in the light of changing circumstances.
