The Guardian, Kings Place, London | tp bennett

The commission to design new offices for the Guardian followed on from Guardian Newspapers Ltd's decision to relocate from Farringdon to a new building close to King's Cross station.
Offices, on three floors, are open-plan, with a continuous band of desking around floor perimeters, maximising natural daylight and views for staff. Each office floor has a central social hub, providing space for coffee points, meeting rooms and library/research zones overlooking the building's central atrium. A sculptural staircase, provides a vertical connection at the centre of each floor, generating informal encounters.
