104 Mews House, London

Originally an old workshop and garage at the rear of a Victorian terrace, located in a Conservation Area in North London, it is now replaced with a single-storey residential unit. The new building, which was constructed on a tight site with limited access, includes two bedrooms, a living area, and a bathroom. Masonry walls support the timber roof structure, which in turn supports a green sedum roof. Two large, south facing, roof lights allow the client maximum natural daylight, whilst maintaining privacy from the neighbouring and overlooking properties.

Completed 2015.
