76 Portland Place, London

In late 2013 Price & Myers supported Theis & Khan in a RIBA competition winning bid to design the Category A & B works for an office project. The RIBA bought the building to provide rental office space for small businesses, event & conference facilities and the RIBA’s own support teams. The aim was to liberate space in their nearby HQ building for other commercial uses. The building has a gross area of around 30,000 sq ft and dates from the 1950s. It has a reinforced concrete frame, spread footings, and various interventions from work completed in the 1990s. The new work involved alterations to the frame, the introduction of new services routes, a new lift and staircase plus a glazed connecting link to another building.

Completed 2015.
