BioEnergy Building, University of Nottingham, Nottingham

New building consisting of two wings with a façade of mainly brick and glass to accommodate laboratories, a research brewery and offices. The North wing is a steel-framed three-storey structure with insitu concrete floors and the South wing is a two-storey high curved glulam-framed structure supporting a roof under which sits a one-storey steel-framed ‘mezzanine floor’. A pond wraps around the Southwest of the building and is used to attenuate the surface water. The building has been rated BREEAM 'Excellent'.
