'The Bloom', White City, London

Built on the site of the former Janet Adegote Leisure Centre, the project is a privately funded healthcare initiative by Building Better Health. The development includes a Health Care Clinic, 170 residential units, ground floor retail space and a basement carpark within a 130m long, seven-storey concrete framed building. We were appointed to provide both structural, civil and sustainability consultancy services. The subsoil ground is highly permeable gravels and the watertable is 2m above the base of excavations. A secant piled retaining wall was installed to the basement perimeter and the basement raft slab and walls were constructed using a Pudlo waterproofing system.

Completed 2014.
