Camden Arts Centre, London

Refurbishment of a Grade II listed Victorian building to substantially alter the layout of the lower floor to provide an open plan reception area and level access throughout. This involves inserting a new steel frame on concrete footings to support existing filler joist concrete floors and loadbearing brick walls. A small glazed extension for use as a café will be added, and the services are to be upgraded to provide environmental control in the galleries to Arts Council standards. The project is funded by the Arts Council.

Completed 2003.
