City Screen, Coney Street, York

A series of buildings on the banks of the River Ouse dating from the late 19th Century to the 1950s were converted into a three screen cinema complex. The project included building a 3m wide riverside walkway above the river. Construction deliveries were almost all by barge from the river as access on land to the pedestrianised Coney Street was limited.

Completed 1999.
