Clifton Park, Rotherham

Renovation of a large park in Rotherham. Part of the scheme involved the building of a multi-use garden building and the construction of a waterplay area with a canopy over three small activity buildings. The Garden Building is a multi use space containing the single-storey and mainly masonry park management offices and bowls clubhouse with a double-storey height and steel-framed sunroom. The Activity Building includes a kiosk, toilet block and a storeroom. All timber framed with recycled plastic board cladding. A steel-framed sedum finished canopy covers both buildings. The canopy comprises of two flat plates like butterfly wings suspended from steel masts by tie rods.
