Crownhill Crematorium, Milton Keynes

A second crematorium on the Milton Keynes site designed to provide an uplifting experience for those needing to use it. The roof form, a cycloid, echos the Kimbell museum in the USA and has been formed using self compacting concrete. Extensive civil engineering works helped create ponds and landscaping around the building while preserving the great crested newt colony on the site.

Completed 2011.
