Dovecot Studio, Aldeburgh, Suffolk

Alterations to the Britten-Pears School and reconstruction of the “Dovecot” into a studio for composers, writers, and visual artists at Snape Maltings. The Dovecot, made from Corten steel, was prefabricated and lifted complete into place within the shell of an existing dovecot. It provides a simple, light interior for artists to work in, with views of the marshes from a small inside writing platform.

Completed 2010.
