London Brownstones, London

These two new houses replace a small block of flats built in the 1950s on a site that was bombed in the war.  They are constructed with a simple timber and steel frame structure, and the stone facade was carefully coordinated with the structure to allow for its slender stone sections. Other features, such as large cantilevering glazed doors at the rear, required careful and discreet structural input.

Completed 2014.
