Moorfields International Children's Eye Hospital, London

A new building to house dedicated treatment facilities plus offices, research space and hostel accommodation for patients. The hospital is expected to become an internationally recognised centre of excellence in children’s eye care. The multi-storey structure has a reinforced concrete frame using flat-slab construction, and a bored pile wall has been used to form the two-storey basement. Integration of the new building with the existing hospital is an important feature of the design.

Completed 2007.
