Press House, Press Road, London

Alterations to the ground floor of a building built in the 1960s to house the Oxford University Press. It has been fitted out to provide community and office space for the building’s residents, community spaces for use by the residents of the adjoining housing estate, and a day centre for Homeless Families in Brent. This involved forming a new doorway and canopy as a separate entrance for some users. The project was selected by ODPM as an example of best practice in improving hostels, building places for change.

Completed 2006.
