Richmond Park Academy, Surrey

An extensive refurbishment of an Academy in Richmond, which included renovating the existing 1930s buildings, demolishing more recent extensions to make way for three new buildings, and re-landscaping the playground and entrance areas. The project formed part of a batch of four Academy projects with Jestico + Whiles and Carillion, won through design competition. The new hall links directly to an extension building designed by Price & Myers in 2007 and the three new buildings were constructed in three separate phases around the working school's timetable and classroom allocation requirements. The foul and surface water for the whole site was extensively redesigned to accommodate the new buildings and fix historical flooding problems caused by the existing network in the renovated areas.

Completed 2014.
