Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London

A new education centre including a double height auditorium constructed alongside the existing college building. Planning restrictions dictated that the whole building was contained in a double height basement with only small elements above ground. The basement uses driven steel sheet piled retaining walls and an insitu concrete frame with exposed precast concrete feature elements, as well as complex structural alterations to the existing building.

Completed 2001.
