St John's Hill Health Centre, London

New therapy centre for community-based therapy services and 2 GP practices. Internal circulation is organised around two courtyards, in the form of cloisters (single-loaded corridors), providing good daylight and easy wayfinding. The building employs a flat slab and concrete frame that is exposed for thermal mass, complementing the natural ventilation strategy employed throughout, except where function or traffic noise/ fumes would not permit. Louvres on east and west elevations act as solar shading.

Completed 2007.
