St Luke's School, Wolverhampton

A new Church of England primary school in Wolverhampton on the site of former 1960s residential towers. The school is entirely timber framed with asymmetric glulam portals that create interesting double height internal spaces. We were appointed to provide both structural and sustainability consultancy services. The drainage design incorporates SUDS to minimise flow from the site into local water courses. St Luke’s is the first primary school in Great Britain to achieve a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating.

Completed 2009.
