The Kennels, Goodwood House, Chichester

The Grade I listed building was originally built by James Wyatt in 1878 as a kennels building for the hounds belonging to the 3rd Duke of Richmond. The golf club has occupied the building since 1895, which was most recently fitted out in the 1970s. The refurbishment was intended to restore some of the original order and character to the main rooms, with the construction of two new extensions to house a new kitchen and pro-shop. The new masonry and steel framed extensions are modern in character but respond to the main building by being partly clad in traditional flint cladding.

Completed 2006.
