The Royal Hall, Harrogate

Built in 1903 and one of the few remaining ‘kursaal’ buildings in England, the Royal Hall had fallen into disrepair with extensive water damage to floors and basement walls. The restoration project was undertaken following a detailed structural appraisal including load testing of the existing slabs. The proposal for structural stabilisation of the building as well as the alterations and refurbishment were granted Lottery funding in 2005.

Completed 2007.
