Whitechapel Art Gallery, London

Conversion of the Grade II listed Passmore Edwards library next to the existing Grade II* listed Whitechapel Art Gallery to provide additional gallery space, archive facilities and an education and research tower. The design involved careful restoration mixed with contemporary alterations. A prominent feature of the design is the twisted roof which pivots from the centre in opposite directions.

Completed 2009.
