Wrap House, Chiswick, London

Ground floor extension to an existing detached house. The triangulated geometry of the roof creates folds that allow the structure to open up from relatively intimate internal spaces to large glazed facades for maximum light and garden views. This theme continues into the external areas where the building’s skin wraps around the tree in the decking and appears suspended above the ground.

Completed 2005.
