Dubai Waterfront Tower, Dubai, UAE

Energy modelling for LEED compliance on a 45-storey residential building on Jebel Ali Palm Island. Price & Myers Sustainability tested the performance of the original design through daylighting and thermal modelling studies. Various passive design strategies associated with the building envelope were then incorporated within the original scheme to reduce building energy consumption. The location of the tower offered an abundant solar energy supply and photovoltaic and solar thermal panels were incorporated into the façade to reduce the CO2 emissions of the development.
