Ryan had a lifelong ambition to become an architect – the sort of dream that takes seed when you are young and grows unless you gather evidence to support a contrary path.
After working as a summer placement in a respected architecture studio in Glasgow, Ryan was introduced to the world of Structural Engineering by his mentor. He quickly realised that his passion was in the science of approximation and applying his skills in problem-solving and physics to help create interesting structures.
Ryan graduated from Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh in 2016 where his studies were tailored towards a harmony of structural engineering and architecture, with a focus on building structures.
After graduating, Ryan joined AECOM where he gained considerable experience in the design and refurbishment of buildings in the healthcare and education sectors. He became a member of the Price and Myers team in the summer of 2021 where he has since gained experience in complex new-build residential and commercial developments.
Ryan is passionate about his work and industry. He loves to interact with and work within multi-discipline teams. After gaining a solid foundation in design, analysis and project delivery, has an ambition to continue working on more creative and challenging structural projects.
