A new residential development to the north-west of Wembley Stadium providing 362 units, 120 of which are for the Private Rental Sector.
Four linear blocks range from 10 to 20 storeys and increase in height to the north, creating south-facing roof terraces overlooking the Civic Centre and Stadium. The structural frame is very efficient using a 225 RC flat slab on a 9m grid. The slab is screedless cast to tight tolerances to allow directly applied floor finishes. Due to slenderness additional vibrational analysis was carried out to ensure the structure would be within acceptable response factors.
Large cantilever balconies provide generous external space to inward looking apartments. The development features a promenade that runs between the blocks, and a new public square with underground parking beneath. This project is part of the wider Wembley Park masterplan, which will eventually provide 5,000 built to rent homes.
