George joined Price & Myers as a graduate in 2015 from the University of Sheffield. He has since worked on over 100 projects ranging from sculptural works up to landmark heritage projects of national significance with a focus on refurbishing existing buildings.

George particularly enjoys working with clients who are the end users of buildings – primarily falling into the categories of private and institutional – for whom the successful outcome of the project really matters. Structure in this context is ultimately a means to facilitate architecture, so should work to positively impact the use of buildings and George follows this approach to advise architects and clients on the most effective use of structure to achieve the architectural ambitions.

Following this principle, the reason for refurbishing buildings is to improve building use, and should begin with the existing structure, following with a light touch approach to alterations and careful judgement about the existing structure’s current and proposed behaviour
