To some extent, Mia inherited her interest in buildings from her parents. She grew up in a family of renovators, always setting to work on run-down houses. As a result, she spent a lot of her young life on building sites.
That environment met her educational strengths well, and a keen interest in maths, physics and art led her to consider structural engineering.
Her time at university cemented the notion, as Mia thoroughly enjoyed the collaborative nature of the structural projects, working alongside her fellow engineering and architecture students.
Mia is the carbon champion for her engineering team at Price & Myers, and she is very keen to ensure low carbon design in all her team’s projects.
As an engineer, Mia knows she has the opportunity to make a positive impact on the built environment, and she is working to seize that opportunity.
