Knox Bhavan Architects asked us to help them convert a former stationery shop into their new studio. The brief involved almost doubling the floor space with the addition of a rear extension, basement and a feature mezzanine meeting room.
We worked carefully with Knox Bhavan and the site team to stabilise the building and create the new space in a carefully worked out sequence of changes to the structure. The mezzanine floor has a hybrid timber and steel structure that was digitally fabricated and left exposed over a new reception space below.
