Rosalind Franklin Wing, St Paul's Girls' School
Hammersmith, London

A new masterplan for the Grade II listed St Paul’s Girls’ School delivered significant upgrades to teaching facilities, supporting the school’s evolving educational needs.

Improvements include a new accessible entrance to the original 1900s building, designed to allow easy access while preserving the historic character of the site. More extensive structural changes were also carried out across adjacent school buildings to improve functionality.

At the heart of the redevelopment is the Rosalind Franklin Wing, home to a new Centre for Design and Innovation. This specialist facility provides purpose built teaching spaces for science, engineering and design, and was constructed using cross-laminated timber to support the school’s low carbon ambitions.

The final phase sees the construction of a new, purpose built, steel framed Staff Hub building nestled in the centre of the site that provides state-of-the-art facilities for the teaching staff at this world-leading school.
