Price & Myers Embodied Carbon Database - 2nd Edition
14th February, 2022

We are once again happy to make our Embodied Carbon Calculator data freely and publicly available to anyone who wishes to use it by downloading the PDF file here.

Benchmarking current material usage and embodied carbon on real buildings is critical for our industry to be able to set targets and assess improvements. In 2020 we published our original dataset, and as part of our ongoing commitment under the Climate and Biodiversity Emergency Declaration to publicly share data, we are pleased and proud to publish the latest upgrade for 2022. This information is free and available for you to use.

Our dataset has now been expanded by over 200% to contain 275 individual buildings, covering over 220 projects around the United Kingdom.

As well as the increased number of buildings for comparison, the upgraded dataset now includes additional information, with material totals (quantities and embodied carbon) summarised by category, enabling us to try and get a feel for what we are actually using across our projects.
