The 3rd edition of our Embodied Carbon Database is now available and free for you to download.
Covering our calculations to the end of 2022, it includes 403 individual buildings and over 300 projects around the UK. It features a wide range of projects covering most sectors, with a mix of new-build and retrofit/refurbishment, from 21m2 to over 56,000m2.
When we signed up to the Climate and Biodiversity Emergency Declaration, we committed to making our data publicly available. Benchmarking current material usage and embodied carbon on real buildings is critical for our industry to be able to set targets and assess improvements.
By sharing such a large database, we can further extend industry knowledge and help everyone reduce embodied carbon in their designs.
